Obituary of Marga Paula Dussmann

Marga Paula Dussmann passed away on April 29, 2024. Marga was born in Botzow, a small town outside of Berlin, Germany, on May 31, 1942. Marga survived the occupation of communist Germany, several years in a refugee camp, and other significant hardships and health issues, yet she was always the life of the party. Her infectious laugh was her trademark, and went with her as she lived in Southern California before settling back on the east coast with her son and light of her life, Billy Dussmann. Marga always had a cat at home and late in her life even got one tattoo’d on her shoulder! She loved to dance and play cards, and never left the house looking less than glamorous. Marga never held a grudge against anyone and no matter what was wrong you wouldn’t ever know by her smile. She was loved by so many, and will be missed so dearly. She was predeceased by her parents Fritz and Helene Eschrich, former husband Bill, and sister Jutta Messina. She is also survived by her sister Erika (Jack) Santoro, sister-in-law Wanda (Ron) Housman, nieces Lisa Bertoli, Tania (Braden) Pritz, Danielle (Alex), Michael (Janet) and Tony Sonsoni, and many, much beloved, great nieces and nephews. A private cremation will be held.
