Obituary of Daniel Joseph Smith

Daniel Joseph Smith was a cherished brother, beloved husband, and a wonderful grandson. He was also a dear, dear friend to many who knew him over the years. He passed away peacefully but unexpectedly in his home on May 28, 2022 at the age of 37. Daniel was born to Karen and Dennis Smith on September 11, 1984, in an area in Massachusetts outside Boston. He had lived most of his life in northern New Jersey where his parents relocated when he was around 5 years old. He was a bright child from the very beginning and always had an incredibly infectious smile. He had grown into a very intelligent and handsome man who had made many in his life proud and privelaged to know him. Danny (as he liked to be called) loved a lot of things, but mostly he loved the good in people, the very same good that existed so strongly within himself. He also loved Star Wars, hockey and the New Jersey Devils, and sports in general. He loved and is survived by his wife Samantha, their dog Mochi, his brother Steven, and his grandmother Tybee. Danny was an intelligent and profoundly insightful soul, and he will be missed greatly. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 1:30 PM to 4 PM at Joseph Z Konopka Funeral Home , 9046 Palisade Avenue, North Bergen, NJ.
