Obituary of Elisabeth Niemeyer

Elisabeth Niemeyer, of West Orange, NJ, formerly of North Bergen, NJ passed away on June 17, 2021. Devoted Daughter of the late Bernhard and Elisabeth (nee Epping) Niemeyer. Dear Sister of Dr Johannes Niemeyer. Loving Aunt of Dr Markus Niemeyer and several other nieces and nephews.
Elisabeth was born on April 6, 1921 in Emsdetten, Germany and came to the US in1951. She lived in New York and North Bergen before moving to West Orange, NJ .She was a retired manager for Pfizer, New York where she worked from 1954 to1984. She belonged to the German Honor Society of Hunter College, NY and Columbia University Alumni Association and the Adirondack Mountain Club, Glen Falls, NY. She also Volunteered at St Patrick's Cathedral, NY.
Private cremation was held and her cremains buried in Germany in the family plot, A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 9 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 8016 Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen. Arrangements by Konopka Funeral Home, 9046 Palisade Ave, North Bergen, NJ 07047.
