Obituary of Thomas J Oats Jr.

Thomas J Oats Jr.,Age 94 of Cliffside Park, NJ passed away on July 19, 2018.  Beloved Husband of 72 years of Daisy ( née Negretti).  Loving Father of Diane Turso and the late Kathleen Bulloch (2004), and her Husband Clifford Bulloch.  Grandfather of Sean Bulloch and Great-Grandfather of one great-granddaughter.  Dear Brother of Joseph and many nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by seven other siblings.

 Tom worked for 45 years in NYC and Hackensack, NJ as a stockroom foreman for ECR and retired in 1986.  He served in the New Jersey State Guard during WWII and volunteered with the American Legion Post 126’s Sons of the Legion. He proudly served as a Cliffside Park Special Police Officer for 30 years, retiring as Captain in 1988.

Visitation at Konopka Funeral Home, 9046 Palisade Avenue, North Bergen, NJ on Sunday, July 22,2018 from 2 to 5 pm with a Prayer Service At 3:30 pm.  A Private Funeral Service will be held on Monday followed by Cremation.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either Ascend Hospice, 65 Jackson Drive, Suite 103, Cranford, NJ 07016 or Bergen County Protect & Rescue Fiundation, 302 2nd Street, Cliffside Park, NJ 07010.
